Happy Birthday in Singapore

I woke up with birthday greetings and best wishes from my family, relatives and friends this morning. Then I went to church to thank God for His unconditional love -- not only for myself but also for my family and friends.

Here's more interesting today: I was lost when I went to church, because it's my first time to get there. I already saw the map, and thought it was just a few blocks away from the MRT station, but I was wrong.

I felt the shake of my tummy already so I dropped by at a nearest mall to dine in. After that, I looked at a map, thinking I could get the right track. The funny thing: there's a woman who approached me and said, "Excuse me. Can I ask a question? (I knew her accent was Filipino before I saw her face.) So I said, "Ano po ate?" The woman was shocked and said " ay Pinoy ka pala!" ( I laughed gently).

Having so resolute despite the face of being lost, I still walked kilometers away since I couldn't see any available taxi. There, being tested to just give up (thoughts of worries, adversaries and tiresomeness conspired). But I felt a sudden brim sparkling my eyes and reminded me of my goal -- to give thanks to our almighty God.

I continued walking even if I knew it's a long walk. I tried to ask some locals but they didn't know the church and some of them didn't understand me and vice versa. So amazing, I got this positive feeling, after all. And to my surprise, I saw the signage going to church. Wow! All the worries and heavy shoulders subsided in just a blink of an eye. I said to Him "thank God and I found it."

It's my birthday but it isn't all about me. It's all about Him, rather.
To my family, relatives and friends, thank you so much for the greetings and best wishes. I will reply to your messages soon. Special thanks to my brother for the treat, too -- my tummy said "burp".
