Thanksgiving Celebration 2014

Thanksgiving Day is a national day celebrated primarily in America and Canada as a way of giving thanks for the blessings of good harvest of the preceding year. Several other places around the world also observe similar celebration such that, Americans and Canadians celebrate to where they are. Thanksgiving Day has been long celebrated in secular manner as well. In the United States, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November and on the second Monday of October in Canada. Living away from home takes a lot of sacrifice. Fortunately, I have a family I can call in Shanghai and have our Thanksgiving celebrated hosted by my colleague and friend.

7 Things I am Thankful For

1. I am thankful for my loving family -- for always the best reason why I keep going in life.
2. I  am thankful for my work despite of so many challenges and pressure, yet I still remain on track.
3. I am thankful for my friends for being there and a good company to have.
4. I am thankful for the lessons learned in life -- I get hurt and stumble but they turn out to be a good experience to learn.
5. I am thankful for the opportunities that keep coming though not sure which is going to work for me yet.
6. I am thankful for the blessings and wonderful journey in life.
7. I am thankful for having Jesus as my saviour, Father, best friend and teacher -- without Him, life is nothing.

The game that we played on Thanksgiving day was Two Truths and One Lie. These three things should be interesting and let them guess which one is a lie. Everybody should take their turn. Happy Thanksgiving Day!
