Located in the province of Surigao del Norte, Mindanao, Siargao is accessible via Cebu Pacific and SkyJetAirlines and also ferries from Surigao City.

Travel Tips:
From Manila, there is flight to Siargao same as from Cebu to Siargao and vice versa. As for Mindanao, take a bus or van from Butuan to Surigao City. I took a van in Ampayon cost 120 pesos, 3 hours travel.
From Surigao City Terminal, take a multicab 10 pesos to Dapa Port.
Right from Surigao City Dapa Port, take a ferry costs 200, 220 and 250 and 300, 320 and 350 depends on the ferry and class.

Where to Stay in Siargao
Be practical in choosing your accommodation as you are out most of the day. My friends and I stayed at Villa Solaria and I got mine at 1400 for four nights, thanks to Bella and Tin, my two Siargao buddies for helping me out my accomodation. It was cheaper because I chose the bunk bed type. Although, I had issues about cleanliness, I guess it was tolerable -- I was out most of the day. But, there's something to do about the front desk's customer service. If I may suggest, she has to learn and meet my standard. The place looks cool, I could say but the water system there was poor. I hope they're fixing it already.
Here’s a wiser thing to do when you’re in Siargao, in order to conveniently get around the place, rent a scooter or a bicycle, “for rent” signs are easily seen along the road. Transportation around is a bit pricey so renting is the best option. Mind you, there isn't any taxi in Siargao and the only way to get around the place is through bicycle, scooter and multicab or small jeep.

Bike and Motorcycle Rentals

If you are lucky enough to haggle from 100 to 200 per day for bike rentals, (it depends on how long you rent it) try it for short distance. But if you are going from town to town, rent a scooter for 200 to 500 a day -- sometimes it goes up to 800 so learn how to haggle up but be nice.

Siargao is just a small island so I would suggest to bring sustainable cash with you because sometimes the ATMs are not available and it's not everywhere in Siargao that you can find them.
